It's often said that volunteers are the backbone of any good nonprofit organization, and the same can be said for the Wenatchee Row & Paddle Club. We applaud past, current and future volunteers.

Like all groups, we're always searching for new volunteers. One of our pressing needs each year is our innovative and highly successful Youth on the Columbia program, which introduces elementary school students to paddling and teaches them about native cultures and early-day exploration of the river.

With Youth on the Columbia and other events, we need volunteers to staff bow and stern positions in 26-foot Voyageur canoes, to operate outboard motor boats, and to help participants with paddling gear. To volunteer, please contact Penny Tobiska at ptobiska@nwi.net.

We also encourage folks to participate in club work parties, help with maintenance, or provide administrative assistance. If you are interested in lending a hand in those areas or in other volunteer opportunities, please contact us at Info@WenatcheePaddle.org.
